Funding for the Early Years and Childcare Entitlement

Early Years Entitlement Expansion

The early years entitlement expansion is being rolled out in stages and will complete in September 2025 when eligible families will be able to access up to 30 hours per week of early education, from the term after their child turns 9 months old. This is called the 'Working Parent Entitlement'.

Bolton Council: Early Years Education Grant Funding Opportunity

Bolton Council is pleased to invite applications for capital grant funding to support the expansion of early years education across the borough.

This funding aims to deliver an increase in early years education places where they are most needed, while ensuring value for money.

Applications will be prioritised in areas identified as having a greater need, based on the findings of the local sufficiency audit and data from the Department for Education. Special consideration will be given to projects that will help address the gaps in provision and support parents in areas with limited current childcare options.
