Salary: £11.44 per hour

Working hours: 40 hours a week - term time only

Job overview:

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing learning opportunities to promote all children's development through engaging activities and experiences. Also creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This position is for individuals who have a genuine love for working with children and are committed to supporting their early learning journey.

Duties

• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
• Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as necessary.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies that cater to the diverse needs of children.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive learning atmosphere.
• Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of early years education within the setting.

Skills

• Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire both children and colleagues.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members.
• Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development within a nursery environment.
• Flexibility to adapt teaching methods based on individual children's needs.
