This is an advanced course delivered by Suzi Moore, a respected authority in the safeguarding of children. The course is for anyone who would benefit from being able to recognise, assess, refer and support children who are suffering or are suspected of suffering from child sexual abuse which takes place in the family home or context. 

The course will look at and include:

  • Understand the typology and prevalence of IFCSA including sibling abuse
  • How attitudes and beliefs can have an influence on ability to safeguard
  • Overview of the legal, statutory guidance and local protocols
  • Recognise the indicators of Child Sexual Abuse
  • The impact of this type of abuse on children, siblings, and parents
