Support for Wraparound Childcare - SEND and Inclusion

Meet the Team

SEND and Inclusion support for providers of Wraparound Childcare is now available from the Start Well Service.

Jo Brown is our designated Special Needs Teacher with over 20 years’ experience. She has taught children with high needs throughout her career and has a good understanding of a wide range of strategies, resources, and techniques to remove barriers to learning and promote development in the Early Years.

Bolton providers can get support by telephone, email, teams meeting or in person.

This may be about support with transition into the setting for a new starter, assessing how provision might be reasonably adjusted to better support individuals, or how staff might be deployed more effectively across the provision. Providers may want to undertake supportive reflection on how inclusive their practice is and if it is supporting all children to succeed, or access helpful resources.

If you would like support or just an initial discussion, please get in touch:

Supporting Early Years Transitions | 27th November 2024 | 12:30pm - 2:30pm

This training will provide the opportunity to look at an example Early Years Transition document to help you review and write your own transition policy. We will focus on how policy is put into practice in your EYFS setting, school, and Out of School Club and we'll reflect on transition in general, through discussion and activities. In addition, we will explore effective SEND transitions.
