Science and Industry Museum: Fully Funded CPD
Various fully funded courses available for education colleagues in the next academic year.
Led by the Science Museum Group expert Science Museum Group Academy trainers, these courses are fully funded for UK-based teachers (some are open to support staff and childminders working with children in KS2 age range) thanks to support from our partners. Join us for an in-person course at one of our five museums (Includes Manchester) or meet us online for a 60-minute session.

Exploring Science Through Play
Ideal for KS1 educators and support staff working with children 5-7 years, this popular course shares interactive, research-informed approaches to exploring science through playful learning experiences. Refreshments, lunch and resources are provided.

Exploration and Discovery Clubs
For teachers, school staff, educators, community group leaders. Whether you are a confident leader of an established club or just at the beginning of your journey, this half-day in-person course will give you new tools and ideas to set up and run a club – no science knowledge needed! Refreshments and resources are provided.

STEM Engagement
Suitable for primary teachers, secondary teachers, and community group leaders based in the UK. During this in-person practical session, SMG will share creative and research-informed approaches to help you create inspiring science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) learning experiences in the classroom and beyond. Discussion in the Classroom (Online)
Suitable for primary and secondary teachers based in the UK. In this virtual course, try out ideas and techniques to help you plan and facilitate engaging STEM discussions in the classroom. This 60-minute course will help you develop your students' confidence so they can engage with and talk about STEM in and beyond the classroom.

Creating Engaging Learning Experiences (Online)
Suitable for primary and secondary teachers and community group leaders based in the UK. This 60-minute session looks at five key elements for creating engaging learning experiences. Exploring each element in turn, you will discover new ways of inspiring your students in STEM.
