Foundational ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) & Trauma Awareness Training
Description:
This session aims to cover what Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are, how they affect people's lives and what we can do to support people who have experienced adversity and trauma. We will also look at what a trauma-informed way of living or working is and how this can be implemented.
Objectives:
This session helps participants:
- understand ACEs, what they are and how they can impact people;
- recognise the important role that protective factors play in a person’s life;
- understanding the impact of someone’s stress response because of trauma;
- how trauma and stress can impact people across different aspects of their lives;
- how we build resilience and how that impacts children if they experience resilience from a young age;
- explore why Trauma Informed practice is important in everyday life.
Audience:
This is for any person, who is working or volunteering in Bolton.
