This training is free, available to anyone working with children in the early years. 1 hour session. Online.

Join the Tiny Happy People (THP) for an introduction to BBC Tiny Happy People – this free, virtual, one hour session will reveal everything you need to know about Tiny Happy People to feel confident recommending this service to families that you work with.

They will explain the THP approach, show you content on the website and highlight those key language techniques and resources that are available for you to share with families and colleagues. THP champion training is accessible and relevant for everyone - from childminders to locality service leads.

The BBC Tiny Happy initiative aim to reduce the number of children starting primary school without the expected levels of communication skills by supporting parents to help develop their little ones’ vocabulary in the home learning environment.

Based on extensive academic research, Tiny Happy People has a simple message at its heart - ‘talk to your little one from pregnancy - we can show you how and why’.

Activity Content showing parents how to support their children’s language development with hundreds of fun simple activities, all organised by age.

Tips and Advice from speech and language experts, health care professionals and early years practitioners covering a wide range of parenting topics.
