Health Start Scheme: A Healthy Start for All

Information about 'Healthy Start' (an NHS benefit) for those working with expectant parents and families with children under 4 years of age.

The training video found via this link: https://youtu.be/XCPP-xdi0Jg (with presentation slides) is aimed at practitioners working with children and families in the early years to raise awareness and promote the 'Healthy Start Voucher Scheme', an NHS benefit (not DWP) targeted at low-income families with young children.

The benefit can total £1,200 per child, per annum. 

In Greater Manchester, take up of this stand-alone NHS benefit in January 2023 was around 64%. Please watch the video and find out more to help support families access the scheme, where you are able to.
