Early Years Funding: FIS Messages
Early years practitioners - Please read the two important messages from the Families Information Service regarding funded childcare.
1. Provider Portal - Two Year Funding Checks:
It has come to light that there has been an issue with two year funding checks returning a ‘not eligible’ result, for some parents on Universal Credit who fall under the income threshold.
As practitioners, if you carried out a check between the 19th January and the first week in February, and the result was ‘not eligible’, we would advise that you re-submit the application.

2. Please don’t forget to validate 30-hour codes:
This needs to be done before a child starts a funded place, or as close as possible to the beginning of term. This will prevent parents incurring a charge at the end of term if their code isn’t valid for that term.
If you don’t have access to the online provider portal, contact the Families Information Service on 01204 332170, who will validate the code for you.
