Framework for Action Thresholds - Single Agency Training Pack

BSCP Bolton Safeguarding Children Partnership

Important information and action for Early Years Workforce regarding the Single Agency Framework for Action and Integrated Front Door Awareness Training Resource.

This information refers to safeguarding training for all individual organisations and practitioners working with children in Bolton and refers to Bolton’s Framework For Action (FFA) and the Integrated Front Door (IFD) which was launched last year.  All practitioners working with children, their parents and carers should have a good understanding of the Bolton arrangements and organisations should be able to apply them consistently, from prevention to protection, to keep children in Bolton safe.

The training is best done if you have sight of the Framework For Action document itself, a copy of which can be obtained from the website shown: Working with children and young people – Bolton Safeguarding Children

At the end of January 2023, Bolton Safeguarding Children Partnership (BSCP) reviewed use of the training pack and found take up was lower than expected. As a result of this low take up, the training pack and the supporting brief have been recirculated. The training pack contains a slide deck and activities to help individual organisations to fully integrate these safeguarding arrangements into their processes and practice.

Train the trainer briefing

The safeguarding partners are hosting ‘train the trainer’ sessions to run through the pack and answer any queries organisations may have. There is no need to book on, just follow the link to join a session, you only need to attend one.

Some quick points to remember:-

  • The trainer needs to register each training session using the QR code or link (https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/1CTT3O/) in the slide deck (training pack); this is important as use will be reported to the Safeguarding Partners and it also provides a mechanism for partners to feedback on the quality of the resource
  • A delegate evaluation has not been provided, you are expected to use your own if required
  • In six months (April 2023) BSCP will be asking you to report not only on what you have done but also on the impact, providing supporting evidence

If you have any queries, please contact via email boltonsafeguardingchildren@bolton.gov.uk and mark the subject ‘FFA Resources’.
