Ofsted Annual Report

Ofsted

Ofsted have launched their annual report - see links to the findings.

The Annual Report of His Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education, Children’s Services and Skills 2021/22 - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).  It is worth noting there is a focus on vulnerable children.

Ofsted recognise communication and language development delays and impact on children’s personal, social and emotional development (PSED) from their inspections, post pandemic. They also recognise recruitment issues and are proposing changes to the registration process as a result.

Ofted said: The report identified some significant challenges for children and young people this year. But we are particularly concerned about vulnerable children who are ‘out of sight’ of Ofsted and other agencies. Some children continue to be invisible to authorities. This includes children in illegal schools, unregistered alternative provision, and unregistered children’s homes. Find out why we’re concerned and the difficulties these children may face: Children 'out of sight' | Ofsted's annual report 2021/22 - YouTube.  This is one of three videos examining the key themes in our annual report.
