Level 3 qualifications are underpinned by a set of criteria. This consultation seeks your views on proposed revisions to that criteria. It is intended that the revised criteria will apply to new and updated Level 3 qualifications from September 2024 onwards.

DfE are proposing revisions to the criteria for early years educator (EYE) level 3 qualifications.
DfE commissioned NCFE to review the EYE level 3 criteria and recommend revisions. DfE are consulting on the suitability of the revised criteria for qualifications in early education and childcare.
