Salary: From £33,366 per annum (pro-rata). Actual salary £29,307 - £32,529 per annum
Grade: G
Working hours: 37 hours and permanent, term time plus 10 days.

Introduction
Due to the retirement of our much-loved nursery manager, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated leader to lead our thriving Little Stars Nursery at Mytham Primary School. Since its introduction, in 2017, Mytham Little Stars has become the ‘jewel in our crown’ offering excellent nursery provision for the local community.
Our new manager will continue to drive our offer forward.
About you
You will be a dynamic, enthusiastic leader who is passionate about Early Years education. You will already be an experienced manager in an Early Years setting preferably within a primary school.
You will:
- Have the relevant Early Years qualifications - Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
- Demonstrate the leadership skills and experience needed to effectively manage and lead our large and highly experienced nursery team.
- Be an exceptional practitioner and exemplify the best early years practice in your daily teaching.
- Be warm and nurturing with our young learners.
- Be an effective communicator and good listener with colleagues, children & families.
- Place value on the importance of building strong relationships, demonstrating empathy and being committed to the wellbeing and support of your team.
- Be committed to continuous professional development whilst inspiring the practice of those around you.
- Be a valued team player at Mytham, making wider contributions to our school community.
About the role:
The Nursery Manager is a member of the school middle leadership team and is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and education for our youngest children.
As our Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the role, including:
- Overseeing daily operations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Playing a key role in shaping children's early development, ensuring they receive a strong foundation for future learning. You must demonstrate a deep understanding of child development.
- Leading the planning, delivery, and assessment of a creative and engaging curriculum, tailored to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This includes creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all.
- Ensuring that your own practice, and the practice of your team is fully inclusive and meets the needs of all of our children.
- Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times and act as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
