Bolton residents can access cost-of-living support information online and attend one of two drop-in cost-of-living advice sessions planned for early November.

Online information

Nearly everyone is having to make cutbacks with cost-of-living pressures.

More people need help accessing food, financial support, warm and safe places to stay and ways to keep in good shape both physically and mentally.

The council and its partners have always provided help when it is needed with its traditional provision around the offer of finance, food, heating and keeping warm this winter.

Lots of help is available including that from Age UK, Bolton’s Money Skills Service, Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton, Salvation Army, Banks, Urban Outreach, Utility companies, Bolton@Home and Bolton Community Voluntary Services.

*The first hour of each event is set aside for people who need a quieter time for example, those with autism, learning disabilities or sensory and communication disorders who would like to attend with their families. Also, attendees at the events may be asked for their views which will help shape the support which is being made available in the future.
