Important message: Two year funding applications
Message to all Early Years Practitioners regarding the processing of 2 year old funding applications.
Two year funding (TYF) ‘reference’
Please be aware that the TYF number that is generated when completing a two year funding application is not a ‘funding code’ and is not proof of eligibility for the parent. The code is a ‘reference’ for the check that has been carried out, whether it is negative or positive.
The code is not needed for the funded place for two year olds, but you do need to see the confirmation letter or email before offering the funded place.

Checking details - Remember to check the child’s birth certificate when conducting an eligibility check for funded places. Incorrect details can cause a conflict in the system and may result in a delay in payments.
