Child Exploitation has many faces including Criminal, Sexual and Modern Slavery. The offenders are predatory and the victims often the most vulnerable.  This course is aimed at an introduction to  staff who are seeking information and knowledge to improve their identification and understanding of children at risk.

This presentation from the LADO will outline their role, when and if you need to be making referrals and seeking their advice and guidance with respect to your staff or volunteers and abuse by professionals or those for  who you may have concerns or a complaint or an allegation is made against.

The NwB is to share and learn what resources are available to you in Bolton.  Bolton Lads and Girls Club is a youth club and registered charity based in Bolton. They have universal open access offer of resources involving play and youth work, sport provision, arts and music programmes, dance, drama, multi-media, outreach and detached street based programmes in neighbourhoods and communities, and projects such as the National Citizens Service, Young Leaders programmes and SEND programmes.  In addition they provide tailored packages of support to vulnerable and complex children, young people and families including 1:1, Early Help, Young Carers service, programmes for Looked after children, and programmes that tackle employability, homelessness, independent living for those 16 plus through psycho and social support. In addition they have a range of mental health services including bereavement support, Safe Zones, THRIVE practitioners and work in schools providing 1:1 and group therapeutic support.
