Understanding barriers to physical activity in early years settings

news

Calling all early years staff in England! Please complete this GreaterSport survey - results will be used to help shape the support early years settings receive and improve the lives of children.

GreaterSport is the Active Partnership for Greater Manchester, and they are working to improve the quality of life in communities across our area through the power of physical activity. The organisers are also working with other Active Partnerships across England to find out what physical activity looks like in early years settings nationally.

Please take 5 minutes to fill out this survey and let your opinions be heard. There is no closing date.

The survey results will be used to help tailor support to early years settings and used in conversations with strategic organisations to raise the profile of the fantastic work being delivered in early years to show how this is helping every child to have the best start in life. The organisers want to work to break down any barriers which early years settings currently face to allow children to move more for a range of outcomes, including physical and mental health and wellbeing and school readiness, both locally and nationally.

Please help shape the support Early Years settings receive and improve the lives of our littlest people!

The organisers want to hear from the wonderful early years staff working in reception and nursery classes in Schools, Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) settings, Childminders, Pre-schools, Playgroups, Children’s Centres or any other similar setting.  This survey is open to anyone working in an early years setting in England. You can be working at any level. Respondents can even be apprentices or trainees.

Please pass this survey on to your colleagues to fill out too. The more responses obtained, the more evidence can be gathered to champion early years settings.

Let your voice be heard!
