The closing date for this important survey is fast approaching.  If you haven’t already had the chance to share your views, don’t miss out…..

Bolton Safeguarding Children Partnership is keen to hear your views and experiences on three key safeguarding areas;

  • The newly relaunched threshold document
  • The new Integrated Front Door
  • Child Neglect

Sharing your views will help to strengthen local practice as well as quickly address any emerging issues.  The survey should be completed by anyone working directly or indirectly with children and their parents.  It should only take 15 minutes to complete, and your responses are completely anonymous.  There is the option at the end of the survey to leave your details, should you wish to be involved in further consultation. 

The survey is live and will be available until 17 November 2021.

The BSCP is providing webinars to provide an insight into how partner agencies work with children and families, to ensure their safeguarding, including their agency functions, referrals, their processes and expectations. 

 

Coordinated Approach to Children who go Missing Tuesday 7th December (2 hrs), 10:00am Click to Enrol

This course looks at what ‘missing’ means, the legislation, guidance and identifies risks and vulnerabilities of children who are missing. It considers why children go missing and what we can do together to prevent or reduce the risks when this occurs.  The approach needs to be co-ordinated and the training will look at ways to reduce risk and support those who feel it necessary to go missing.

 

Adapting Services for Boys and Young Men Wednesday 8th December, 10:00am ( 90 mins) Click to Enrol

This training is delivered by Phil Mitchell; a BACP senior accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience of working with sexually abused, assaulted, and exploited boys and men. Phil will look at why services may have to adapt when dealing with male victims and the reasons for that., Positive perceptions of masculinity, male-friendly approaches and how the ACHIEVE model can be used to improve CSE services for boys.

 

The Role of Technology and Serious Organised Crime Wednesday 15th December, 4:00pm (75 mins) click here to enrol

This free seminar by the National Crime Agency (NCA), will outline the role technology increasingly plays in enabling serious organised criminals and their groups.  It will explore how it can extend the reach of offenders and increase the risk to those most vulnerable to criminality. The speakers will also touch upon the range of partners with which the NCA works, noting that many of the threats we address require more than a law enforcement or criminal justice response.
