Updated DfE Guidance: EYFS Statutory Framework
Government guidance updated.
The EYFS Statutory Framework has been updated. The document can be found here.
The changes include:
- Reflect Ofsted’s announcement that full graded Early Inspection Framework (EIF) inspections in early years will resume from 4 May 2021 and link to Ofsted’s early years inspection guidance;
- Remove references of disapplications to the early years foundation stage profile (EYFSP) in 2021 still being subject to parliamentary process, as the legislation is now in force; and
- Clarify that the extension period previously in place for paediatric first aid (PFA) certificates ended on 31 March 2021 and practitioners must now attend requalification training to renew expired certificates.
