This training is for anyone working directly with children and families in Greater Manchester who want to understand more about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. This includes all staff working in early years settings, primary care and adoption/ fostering services. The half-day session offers an introduction to FASD. The course will contain discussions regarding alcohol in pregnancy, current prevalence, with discussion regarding
high-risk groups and how FASD can present across the lifespan. It will also look at how to get a diagnosis, associated issues, what can happen without support and mental capacity.
