If you need access to the recording of part 1 via e-learning, please email: startwellbookings@bolton.gov.uk.

Part 2 will take place at Harvey Start Well Centre, on the following dates and times. You only need to attend one session:

Thursday, 3rd October 2024, 9:30am - 11:30am
(or)
Wednesday, 5th February 2025, 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Part 1 (held online Autumn 2024 - now available as e-learning)

This online session was delivered by an experienced Ofsted inspector for early years providers (Rachael Flesher HMI, Early Years Senior Officer). The session allows a window into what an Ofsted inspection looks like and what you can do to ensure you can confidently contribute to your inspection.

Rachael discussed:

  • How inspectors conduct early years inspections in line with the early years inspection handbook. This guidance is available to you on the ofsted.gov.uk pages.
  • What is meant by curriculum and how curriculum is at the heart of the framework.
  • How inspection is done ‘with you’ and not ‘to you’.
