Description

This session is for Bolton Out of School Club's due an Ofsted inspection. Participants must attend Part 1 (Online) and Part 2 (Harvey Start Well Centre). Details below.

Part 1 - Online
Thu 19th September 2024
10:00am - 11:30am

This online session will be delivered by an experienced Ofsted inspector for early years providers (Rachael Flesher HMI, Early Years Senior Officer). The session allows a window into what an Ofsted inspection looks like and what you can do to ensure you can confidently contribute to your inspection.

Rachael will discuss:

  • How inspectors conduct early years inspections in line with the early years inspection handbook. This guidance is available to you on the ofsted.gov.uk pages.
  • What is meant by curriculum and how curriculum is at the heart of the framework.
  • How inspection is done ‘with you’ and not ‘to you’.

Please note, we are unable to record this session for later viewing. Contact Bolton Start Well if you are unable to attend any of the advertised dates.

Part 2 - Harvey Start Well Centre
Thu 3rd October 2024, 1:00pm - 3:00pm
or
Wed 5th February 2025, 9:30am - 11:30am

Part 2 of the training will enable you to reflect on your practice and unpick the Ofsted Inspection handbook / grade descriptors and consider inspection trends so that you are fully prepared for your next Ofsted inspection.

Bolton Start Well Service will deliver this session. For part 2, you are welcome to attend in October or February.

Venue: Harvey Start Well Centre, Shaw Street, BL3 6HU.

Delivered by: Rachael Flesher HMI, Early Years Senior Officer and Bolton Start Well Service
