Description

Supporting Early Years Transitions provides a forum for early years providers and schools to consider content for; and construct an effective transition policy

This training will provide the opportunity to look at an example Early Years Transition document to help you review and/or write your own transition policy. We will focus on how policy is put into practice in your EYFS setting and reflect on transition in general, through discussion and activities. In addition, we will explore effective SEND transitions.

What will I learn?

During the session, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Share how you currently support children for transition;
  • Consider how you work collaboratively with families and agencies
  • Update, plan or write a transition policy
  • Consider why robust transition procedures are important for all children including those with SEND needs
  • Consider how you share information with the next setting
