What happens on this course?
This termly facilitated network event allows EYFS Leaders in Schools the opportunity to review key topics throughout the academic year, with time in between for self-reflection.
We will discuss:
- The EYFSP Implications for an effective leader
- Better communication data and the next steps
- The gender gap, a focus on improving outcomes for boys
- What's new and what are you doing about it
How often are the sessions?
The network meetings will take place, once a term, in different venues throughout the academic year 2024-25. This 2 hour network meeting will provide time to look around the different venues at the end of each session.
Participants are welcome to attend each termly network session. Please book dates seperately so that we can manage maximum booking numbers. One place per setting only.

- Wednesday 9 October 2024, 2:00pm - 4:00pm, Kearsley West Primary School, BL4 9DA
- Wednesday 12 March 2025, 2:00pm - 4:00pm The Olive Tree Primary School, BL3 3NY
- Wednesday 25 June 2025, 2:00pm - 4:00pm, TBC
Participants are not required to attend all of the above dates. These dates should be book separately.

Who is this course for?
This course is for EYFS Leaders in schools. It is suitable for teachers new to the position and for existing EYFS leads who want to develop their effectiveness.

Commitments and Cancellations
In order to maintain best value, we need to run this course on a maximum occupancy basis. If your place is confirmed but you are unable to attend, please send an alternative representative or cancel your place in writing by e-mailing: StartWellBookings@bolton.gov.uk with a minimum of 24 hours' notice.
An administration fee of £25 per person will be charged for the non-attendance of any individual following an online or confirmed telephone booking. These fees will be waived if you send a replacement attendee from your setting to take up your place.
